You can rely on the hospitality items of the hotel where you stay for some items,

But that obviously won’t work for everything. The good news is that Kiehl’s has travel size Amino Acid, Argan, Olive Fruit Oil&Sunflower Color Preserving Shampoos and Conditioners in 2.5 oz bottles for $7.00. They also offer 2.5 oz sizes of Nurturing Body Washing Cream at $8.00 and Crème de Corps body moisturizer at $11.00.

I haven't composed a blog post in a long time. As you must have assumed from my last post, life has revolved around Sweet Caroline, our grandaughter, about whom I wrote in the last post.

Every time that we visit Caroline and her family in Albany, there is some sort of "Glam" going on. Makeup, nails, hair braiding...whatever it takes. Girls just want to have fun and look good and feel better! (That was adapted from Cindy Lauper, the American Cancer Society and me!)

The Healing Art of Make Up

my daughter Kim's wedding day, June 20th, 2008

I have spent 21 years as a make up artist and many more in other areas of art and design. I have confidence in my ability as an artist. I believe now, more than ever, that just as my website says, “it's more than make up”!

My most recent make up appointment was with a 12 year old girl.

No facial makeup, just some massage techniques and manicure/pedicure.

Her favorite color is teal, so OPI's “Teal The Cows Come Home” is the polish that I chose. I also had a back up color of “This Little Piggy” in case we decided to do her toes in a different color.

And… Action!

I have recently expanded my make-up horizons by being gratefully introduced to some film work. My first adventure took place in Saint Michaels, MD about a month ago, where I worked as an assistant stylist to the simply amazing, Emmy Award winning Kindra Predmore-Thompson.

Josie's Party

Last Thursday, I headed to my long time client and friend, Josie's house for a Make-Up Party. My daughter Kim joined me to assist. Josie and I have been trying to coordinate this for some time, and both of us were pleased that it finally worked out.
